History

Prior to 1900, École Saint-Joseph was a girls' school located in a building on the Rue du Pontceau, with classes taught by nuns. The school became a co-educational institution in 1999 by incorporating the Saint-Mary School for Boys, which was founded in 1892. Since then, it has been located at 9 rue Jean Jaurès, and serves Solesmes and the surrounding area.
