Černý Důl


Černý Důl is a market town and municipality in Trutnov District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It lies in the Krkonoše Mountains.

Geography

Černý Důl has massive wind calamities during Winter. In 2018 and 2019, thousands of bark beetles moved to the area.

History

Černý Důl became popular during ore mining in the Krkonoše Mountains as early as 1383. The manor was purchased by Kryštof of Gendorf in 1533. The town received the right of a free mining town in 1564.

Tourism

Multiple ski centers in the town are in the process of being built. The town is best known for it skiing and hiking.
