Šumice (Uherské Hradiště District)
Šumice is a village and municipality in Uherské Hradiště District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic.

Šumice lies approximately east of Uherské Hradiště, south of Zlín, and south-east of Prague.
The first mention of Šumice dates back to the 14th century when the name of the village was Schumitz. The current name dates from 1924.
The river that flows through the village is called Olšava.
