won the Junior Cup after a 1–0 win over Strathclyde in a replayed final.

Edinburgh Exhibition Cup

Held to coincide with the Scottish National Exhibition event in the city, this early season competition was won by Rangers, beating Dundee in the final on the toss of a coin following a 1–1 draw.
