1944 Army Cadets football team
The 1944 Army Cadets football team represented the United States Military Academy in the 1944 college football season. Led by head coach Earl Blaik, the team finished with a perfect 9–0 season. The Black Knights offense scored 504 points, while the defense allowed 35 points. At the season’s end, the team won a national championship. The team captain was Tom Lombardo. In 1950, Lombardo was killed in action during the Korean War.Schedule
