1949 Afghan parliamentary election
The 1949 Afghan parliamentary election in Afghanistan was held after a royal proclamation was issued calling upon the people to elect the National Assembly. The elections decided the members for the seventh Afghan Parliament. The elections were considered relatively free. The number of people who voted is not known, because there was no census and there were no electoral lists.
