1971 Australian Open – Women's Singles


First-seeded Margaret Court was the two-time defending champion and successfully defended her title, defeating Evonne Goolagong in the final, 2–6, 7–6, 7–5 to win the Women's Singles tennis title at the 1971 Australian Open. This was Court's tenth Australian Open title, her sixth consecutive Grand Slam title and her 21st Grand Slam title overall.
