1979–80 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship 1979–80 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship was the 10th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship , the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county club hurling tournament . The championship began on 7 October 1979 and ended on 1 June 1980.Blackrock were the defending champions , however, they were defeated by Castlegar in the All-Ireland semi-final.
