1989 World Snooker Championship


The 1989 World Snooker Championship was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 15 April and 1 May 1989 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England.
Steve Davis won in the final 18–3 against John Parrott, which remains the biggest margin of defeat in the sport's modern era. This was Davis' sixth and last world title, and also his last appearance in a World Championship final. The tournament was sponsored by cigarette manufacturer Embassy.
