1992 NBL season


The 1992 NBL season was the 14th season of competition since its establishment in 1979. A total of 13 teams contested the league, Southern Melbourne having merged with Eastside Melbourne to form the South-East Melbourne Magic during the off season.

Regular season

The home and away season took place over 22 rounds between 3 April 1992 and 26 September 1992 with final series on 28 September 1992 until 18 October 1992 and grand final on 24 October until 1 November 1992.

Ladder

This is the ladder at the end of season, before the finals. The top 8 teams qualified for the finals series.
The NBL tie-breaker system as outlined in the NBL Rules and Regulations states that in the case of an identical win-loss record, the results in games played between the teams will determine order of seeding.

Finals

There were eight quarter finals, four semi-finals, and then best of three grand final. All three of these finals were sudden death.
