Gerald Forsythe
,
Kevin Kalkhoven
,
Paul Gentilozzi
and Dan Petit
purchased
the bankrupt CART series' liquidated assets in an
Indianapolis
courtroom the previous January.
Bruno Junqueira
won the first Champ Car-era pole while
Paul Tracy
took the first win.
