2005 Texas Tech Red Raiders football team
The 2005 Texas Tech Red Raiders football team represented Texas Tech University in the Big 12 Conference during the 2005 NCAA Division I-A football season. In their sixth season under head coach Mike Leach, the Red Raiders compiled a 9–3 record, finished in a tie for second place in Southern Division of the Big 12, lost to Alabama in the 2006 Cotton Bowl Classic, and outscored opponents by a combined total of 473 to 226. The team played its home games at Jones SBC Stadium in Lubbock, Texas.Schedule
