2013 Copa EuroAmericana


The 2013 Copa EuroAmericana was the first edition of Copa EuroAmericana, a exhibition men's football friendly tournament created by DirecTV. This edition took place in South America on 20 July – 4 August 2013. Eleven teams from CONMEBOL and UEFA participated in it. Europe, represented by Atlético Madrid, Porto and Sevilla, won the cup by a 6–2 score, beating South America, represented by Atlético Nacional, Barcelona, Deportivo Anzoátegui, Estudiantes, Millonarios, Nacional, Sporting Cristal, Universidad Católica.

Format

Each match is played all 90 minutes. In case of a tie after the 90 minutes, will proceed to play two 15-minute overtime periods, and if they continue in a draw the champion will be defined through penalty kicks. The confederation of the winner team of each match is awarded with a point, and the confederation with most points will champion.
