2015–16 Charlotte Hornets season
The 2015–16 Charlotte Hornets season was the 26th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association and the fourth season under head coach Steve Clifford. With 48–34 record, the Hornets qualified for the playoffs for the tenth time in Charlotte pro basketball history as a sixth seed, where they played the third-seeded Miami Heat. In a tight playoff match, the Hornets lost the first two games in Miami, before winning three straight. Miami took games 6 and 7, winning the series.
As of 2019, this marked the last season the Hornets made the playoffs.
