2019 European Parliament election in Greece


The 2019 European Parliament election in Greece was held on 26 May 2019, electing members of the Greek delegation to the European Parliament as part of the European elections held across the European Union. In Greece, it was held in tandem with the first round of the local and regional government elections, resulting in a major defeat for the governing Syriza party, and forcing Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to bring forward the scheduled legislative election for 7 July 2019.
