2020 British GT Championship
The 2020 British GT Championship is the 28th British GT Championship, a sports car championship promoted by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation. The season will begin on 2 August at Oulton Park and finish on 8 November at Silverstone, after nine races held over seven meetings.

Driver changes
GT3Entering/re-entering British GT
- Sam Neary will debut with Team ABBA Racing.
- Yelmer Buurman and Patrick Kujala will return to the series driving for Ram Racing, both having last raced in 2018.
- Franck Perera will debut for WPI Motorsport.
- Martin Berry and Nick Foster will debut for Optimum Motorsport.
- Isa Al-Khalifa will debut for 2 Seas Motorsport.
- Rob Collard will debut for Barwell Motorsport.
- Sandy Mitchell will return to the series driving for Barwell Motorsport, having last raced in 2017.
- Duncan Cameron and Matt Griffin will return to the series driving for AF Corse, having last raced in 2017.
- Chris Buncombe will return to the series driving for RJN Motorsport, having last raced in 2018.
- Joe Osborne will return to the series driving for Balfe Motorsport, having last raced in 2018.
- Marcus Clutton will return to the series driving for JMH Automotive, having last raced in 2018.
- Sam de Haan will move from Barwell Motorsport to Ram Racing.
- Angus Fender and Jack Mitchell will move from Century Motorsport to 2 Seas Motorsport.
- Ahmad Al Harthy will return to the series driving for TF Sport.
- Jordan Witt will move from Team Parker Racing to 2 Seas Motorsport.
- Rick Parfitt, Jr. will leave the series.
- Jonathan Adam, Ahmad Al Harthy, Tom Canning and Graham Davidson will not participate after Oman Racing with TF Sport were forced to withdraw its' GT3 entries.
- Kelvin Fletcher and Martin Plowman were set to move from GT4 driving for Beechdean AMR to GT3 driving for JRM Racing. However, team opted to sit out 2020 season on 17 July 2020.
Entering/re-entering British GT
- Euan Hankey will return to the series driving for Balfe Motorsport, both having last raced in 2018.
- Gus Bowers and Chris Wesemael will debut in the series for HHC Motorsport.
- 2008 GT4 Champion Matt Nicoll-Jones will return to the series driving for Academy Motorsports, both having last raced in 2018.
- James Kell will debut for Speedworks Motorsport.
- James Pickford will return to the series driving for Optimum Motorsport, having last raced in 2011.
- Daniel Vaughan will debut in the series driving for TF Sport.
- Matt Cowley will debut in the series driving for Academy Motorsport.
- Luke Sedzikowski and David Whitmore will debut in the series driving for Team Tegiwa.
- Ben Hurst will move from Academy Motorsports to Century Motorsport.
- Jordan Albert will move from HHC Motorsport to Academy Motorsports.
- Connor O'Brien will move from Optimum Motorsport to TF Sport.

- Tom Canning will move from GT4 driving for TF Sport to GT3 driving for the same team.
- Stewart Proctor will move from GT4 driving for Balfe Motorsport to GT3 driving for the same team.
Team Changes
- Steller Performance will enter GT3 running an Audi R8 LMS Evo.
- 2019 GT Cup champions JMH Automotive will switch to a full-season entry still running a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo.
- Ram Racing will expand to two-car entry, running a pair of Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evos.
- WPI Motorsport will switch to running a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo.
- Optimum Motorsport will switch from running an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 to running a McLaren 720S GT3.
- G-Cat Racing will switch to a full season entry still running a Porsche 911 GT3 R.
- 2 Seas Motorsport will debut entering a trio of McLaren 720S GT3s.
- Beechdean AMR will expand to a two-car entry in GT3, running two Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3s.
- Oman Racing with TF Sport will not run in GT3 after factors of the COVID-19 Pandemic forced them to withdraw, but their GT4 entries remain.
- AF Corse will return entering a Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo.
- RJN Motorsport will return entering a McLaren 720S GT3.
- Optimum Motorsport will switch from running two Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 to running a pair of McLaren 570S GT4s.
- Balfe Motorsport will expand to a full-season two-car entry in GT4, running a pair of McLaren 570S GT4s
- Academy Motorsports will run Multimatic Motorsports' pair of Ford Mustang GT4s.
- 2010 GT4 Champions Speedworks Motorsport will return entering a new Toyota GR Supra GT4.
- Invictus Games Racing will leave the series.
- Team Tegiwa will debut entering a BMW M4 GT4, prepared by Century Motorsport.
