2020 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier


The 2020 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier was an upcoming international women's cricket tournament that is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka July 2020. It would have been the qualification process for the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup. The tournament would have been the fifth edition of the World Cup Qualifier. The tournament would have been played as 50 overs matches. All the regional qualification tournaments used the Women's Twenty20 International format. The top three teams from the qualifier tournament would have progressed to the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Cricket Council confirmed that they were monitoring the situation and reviewing the scheduling of the tournament. However, on 12 May 2020, the ICC confirmed that the tournament had been postponed.
