43rd Filmfare Awards


The 43rd Filmfare Awards were held on 31 January 1998, in Mumbai, India.
Pardes led the ceremony with twelve nominations, followed by Dil To Pagal Hai with eleven nominations, and Border and Virasat with ten nominations each.
Yash Chopra's Dil To Pagal Hai won eight awards including Best Film, thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony, followed by Virasat, which won six awards including Critics Award for Best Film, Critics Award for Best Actor and Critics Award for Best Actress.
Kajol became the first actress to win Best Villain award for Rajiv Rai's Gupt.
