Abbadia Lariana
Abbadia Lariana is a comune in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about northeast of Milan and about northwest of Lecco. The village has about 3,280 inhabitants and its name comes from an abbey founded in the 9th century and later destroyed.History
Archaeological excavations dated the first settlement to Roman period. The benedictine abbey was founded in 770 - 775 by the Lombardic King Desiderius and gave the name to the city.
