Abou Kone


Aboubakar Kone, is an Ivorian footballer who currently plays for Al-Kahraba in Iraqi Premier League.

Club career

Kone started his career in E.V. Academy in Abidjan and joined Africa Sports.
He left the club for Modena F.C. of Italy for six months and move to Tunisian clubs Étoile Sportive du Sahel, where he scores 8 goals in 7 matches.
In January 2007 he moves to Al Qadsiya of Kuwait where he played till the end of season
he score 6 goals before, moves on loan to Al-Shabab for one year. he end up as the club top scorer with 20 goals.
For the 2008-2009 season he moved to El-Entag El-Harby in Egypt in the Egyptian second division and helped lead the club to play in the Egyptian Premier League. After two years with El-Entag El-Harby he signed in December 2009 for Zamalek SC.
He scored his first goal for Zamalek in their first match of the season, against Haras El-Hodood with a spectacular over head kick.
He failed to seal his place in the starting 11 at El Zamalek in his first season, much to the surprise of many people who thought he would be the perfect signing. He was given his chances and failed to impress, so he did not play much football in his first season.
He was sold to Tala'ea El-Gaish SC during the summer transfers where he went on to score a goal during his first appearance with the team in a league match against Petrojet FC. He continue his perfect goal scoring and displayed of skill which made him a house hold name in Egypt.
In September 2013, he signed a contract with Al-Taliya of Oman.
