Acarosporaceae
The Acarosporaceae are a family of fungi in the order Acarosporales. Members of this family have a widespread distribution, and are lichenized with green algae. According to a 2008 estimate, the family contains 11 genera and 183 species.Phylogeny
Formerly classified in the fungal order Lecanorales, phylogenetic analyses in 1998 showed that the Acarosporaceae belong outside this order; further analysis supported this conclusion.
