Acetomicrobium


Acetomicrobium is a genus in the phylum Synergistetes. In 2016, the former genus Anaerobaculum was folded into Acetomicrobium.

Etymology

The name Acetomicrobium derives from:
Latin noun acetum, vinegar; New Latin neuter gender noun microbium , small and Greek noun bios, a microbe; New Latin neuter gender noun Aacetomicrobium, a microorganism producing acetic acid.
