Adam Rowe


Adam Rowe is a Liverpudlian stand-up comedian.

Early life and career

Rowe was brought up in Dovecot and West Derby areas of Liverpool. His parents were alcoholics, they broke up when he was ten years old and he was raised by his father. Rowe started a Maths degree at the University of Liverpool but didn’t complete it in order to concentrate on performing comedy. He was named Liverpool’s Hot Water Comedy Club’s Comedian of The Year in 2011.

Career

Rowe’s 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival show Undeniable was described as “saying something vital and fresh” and “structured, consistently funny and well-crafted routine.” Rowe won funniest joke at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival that year with the joke "Working at the Jobcentre has to be a tense job - knowing that if you get fired, you still have to come in the next day.”
Rowe’s 2019 Edinburgh show was called Pinnacle and was described as another irrepressible and articulate hour by a rising talent”.
Rowe has appeared on BBC show Fighting Talk and in award winning Liverpool based podcast The Anfield Wrap, and Roast Battle. Rowe has his own podcast called ‘Have a Word’ with fellow comedian Dan Nightingale.

Personal life

Rowe is a fan of Liverpool FC. In January 2010 Rowe was involved in a car crash in the M6 in snowy conditions in which he says he “almost died”.
