Agdenes Church

Agdenes Church is a parish church in Orkland municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Vernes along the Trondheimsleia in the north part of Agdenes, about southwest of Vassbygda. It is the main church for the Agdenes parish which is part of the Orkdal prosti in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1857 by the architect Christian Heinrich Grosch. The church seats about 200 people. The church was supposed to be consecrated on 24 March 1858, but due to a storm and snowy weather, it had to be postponed for 3 days until the 27th of March and several of the priests that were to be there were unable to make it.
