Al-Riyadh SC


Al-Riyadh is a Saudi Arabian football team. It was established in 1953 as Ahli Al-Riyadh, then changed to Al-Yamamah and finally to Al-Riyadh. The club is based in Riyadh and currently playing in the Saudi Second Division.
Although it is best known for its football team, Al-Riyadh also have squads playing at other sports.
They won two major titles, including a Crown Prince Cup in 1994 and a Prince Faisal bin Fahad Cup in 1995.

History

Riyadh C.S was founded in 1953 under the name "Ahli Riyadh" and then "Yamama" before changing to the current name, and is currently based in west Riyadh.

Golden Area

In the early nineties under the leadership of Brazilian coach Zumario and his big players such as Khalid Al-Qarouni, Talal Al-Jabreen, Yasser Al-Taafi and Fahd Al-Hamdan, Riyadh S.C won the Crown Prince Cup and reached the final of the League Cup of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the 1993-1994 season and reached the semi-final of Asian Cup Winners cup in the 1995-1996 season.
