Al Shabiba Mazraa Beirut

Al Shabiba Mazraa Beirut, also known as JSM, was a Lebanese football club based in the Mazraa district of Beirut. Established in 1938, it was one of the traditional sports clubs in Lebanon with a long established program in football. The club’s support mainly came from the Greek Orthodox community, although it also had members from other religious communities.

History

Founded in 1937, the club was a regular in the Lebanese Premier League for many years, winning the title in 1967 under the presidency of Nicolas Majdalani. However, the performances of the team deteriorated with the onslaught of the Lebanese Civil War.
During the 1991–92 season, the club lived a revival through the investor Robert Debbas and the Greek Orthodox trust. But the club was relegated back to the Lebanese Second Division in the 1996–97 season. After they refused to dispute the season, they were demoted to Lebanese Third Division and finally to the Lebanese Fourth Division. The club folded in 2017 due to bankruptcy.
