To the south, there are visible mountains. It passes by a Jack's and junctions with AL-67. This is located in Somerville, in a part referred by some as Pence. It continues east and ends its straight-line journey. It turns northeast and passes through forest, entering Cotaco, which is home to its junctions with CR-35 and CR-32. It passes through hills as it turns north for about a mile. It passes by Lacey Springs and passes through more mountains and then drops down to its eastern terminus at U.S. 231.
