According to 2011 Bangladesh census, Alamdanga had a population of 345,922. Males constituted 49.99% of the population and females 50.01. Muslims formed 97.338% of the population, Hindus 2.616% and others 0.045%. Alamdanga had a literacy rate of 45.67% for the population 7 years and above.
