Alejandra Villafañe


María Alejandra Villafañe Osorio is a Colombian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Miss Earth Colombia 2014 that gave her the right to represent Colombia at Miss Earth 2014. She succeeded Diana Carolina Ortegón Vega and was crowned by the reigning Miss Earth 2013, Alyz Henrich.

Miss Earth Colombia 2014

Miss Earth Colombia decided to conduct a pageant for the first time as they used to appoint a delegate that would compete in Miss Earth. The pageant of Miss Earth Colombia was held in the municipality of Armenia. Alejandra, together with Alyz Henrich and the other candidates, engaged in different environmental activities and visited different places to promote the cause of Miss Earth which is the environmental awareness.
The pageant was won by Alejandra, who represented Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and her runners-up are: Marlyn Mora Jimenez as Miss Earth-Air Colombia 2014; Alexandra Herrera as Miss Earth Water Colombia 2014; Alexandra Arboleda as Miss Earth Fire Colombia 2014. Marlyn Mora Jimenez, being the first runner-up, is set to represent Colombia in Miss Supranational 2014. Her co-candidate, Monica Castaño, was chosen to compete at Miss Grand International 2014.

Miss Earth 2014

By winning Miss Earth Colombia, Alejandra flew to the Philippines in November to compete with almost 100 other candidates to be Alyz Henrich's successor as Miss Earth.
At the conclusion of the pageant, Alejandra was declared as part of the Top 16 semifinalists. However, she was not able to advance in the next round. The Miss Earth 2014 title was won by Jamie Herrell of the Philippines.
