Ali Rehman Khan


Ali Rehman Khan is a Pakistani film, television and theater actor. He is best known for his work in the Hum TV drama Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se, which earned him a Hum Award for Best Television Sensation Male at the 2nd Hum Awards. He made his film debut in the 2011 controversial film Slackistan.

Early life and education

Rehman was born in Islamabad to a Pashtun Marwat tribe that belongs to Lakki Marwat. He attended University College of Islamabad where he pursued International Programmes and went on to receive his postgraduate degree from University of London.

Career

Rehman made his debut in the Hum TV drama serial Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se. He then starred in the 2014 drama serial Muhabbat Ab Nahi Hugi. His third drama serial Diyar-e-Dil which premiered in March 2015 along with Hareem Farooq, Meekal Zulfiqar and Sanam Saeed.
Khan's film credits include Slackistan and the comedy-drama Gol Chakkar. Both films are still unreleased; Slackistan was banned by Central Board of Film Censors, Pakistan due to strong language and dialogue. Gol Chakkar was approved and was screened in October 2012. He was cast in the romantic-comedy film Janaan with fellow television actors Bilal Ashraf and Armeena Khan. The film was released on 13 September 2016.
