Alisha Lehmann


Alisha Lehmann is a Swiss footballer who plays as a forward for West Ham United of the English FA WSL. She previously played for BSC YB Frauen of the Nationalliga A. She won her first cap for the Switzerland women's national football team in October 2017.

Club career

Newly-professional FA Women's Super League West Ham United signed Lehmann from BSC YB Frauen in August 2018. It was reported that West Ham manager Matt Beard had been impressed by Lehmann's performances at the 2018 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship, which Switzerland hosted. In April 2019 West Ham extended Lehmann's contract after she scored eight goals and helped the club to the FA Women's Cup final.

Personal life

Lehmann is a lesbian. She is in a relationship with Swiss teammate Ramona Bachmann, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain. Their national team coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg explained: "The situation is not exceptional in women's football".

Lehmann featured, alongside her girlfriend Ramona Bachmann, in the BBC Three series Britain's Youngest Football Boss.
