Alma Jean Billingslea


Alma Jean Billingslea is an American scholar and teacher, and a veteran of the civil rights movement.
Billingslea was a member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. She teaches literature and the African diaspora at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
She is the author of Crossing Borders through Folklore: African American Women's Fiction and Art.
