Aloha Editor


Aloha Editor is an open-source WYSIWYG editor, written in JavaScript, that can be used in webpages. Aloha Editor aims to be easy to use and fast in editing, and allows advanced inline editing. The first version was released 15 July 2010.

Description

Aloha Editor is built to facilitate editing of content within the same layout that is shown to readers. In this respect, it is different from most other web-based WYSIWYG editors. Aloha features a floating contextual toolbar that hovers over content that the user is actively editing. Aloha Editor tries to implement its functionality respecting the HTML5 Specification Draft.

API

Aloha Editor includes a plugin API for extensions.

Browser compatibility

Aloha editor does not require browser specific editing. It is compatible across multiple web browsers and Operating Systems including Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and Safari.
