Alonso Zamora Vicente - Spanish philologist, lexicographer and writer. He was born on February 1, 1916 in Madrid and died on March 14, 2006 in Madrid. He was awarded the honorary doctor of the University of Alicante, the honorary doctorate of the University of Coimbra, the honorary doctorate of the University of Santiago de Compostela, the National Novel Prize, the honorary doctorate of the University of Salamanca, the honorary doctorate of the University of Extramadura, the Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit, the Grand Cross of the Civil Order of Alfonso X the Wise.
