Amara Simba


Amara Simba, Dakar, Senegal is a retired French football player. During his career he played for ASC Jeanne d'Arc, FC Versailles 78, Paris SG, AS Cannes, AS Monaco, SM Caen and Lille OSC in France, Club Leon in Mexico and Leyton Orient, Kingstonian, Kettering Town, Barnet, St. Albans City, Billericay Town and Clacton Town in England. He was also selected to play for the French national team on three occasions by then manager Michel Platini in which he scored one goal, but injury prevented his participation in Euro 92 and his international career came to an end.

Trivia

Simba's move to Leyton Orient came about as a result of training with the club to keep fit whilst on holiday in London. Was awarded most beautiful goal of the French Ligue 1 in 1992-1993 for a bicycle kick when he received the ball, controlled it with his chest and finished it off with a bicycle kick.
