the Argentine
refuge
situated
on the
southwest
side
of
Longing Gap
and named in
turn
after
Florentino Ameghino
,
Argentine
geologist and
anthropologist
. Named by the
United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee
in 1990.
