America Tang


America Tang is a business entrepreneur, a singer and a philanthropist. She is the CEO of Ace Fence Company, a specialty construction company, located in the City of Industry, California, which fabricates and installs chain link fencing and ornamental iron fencing for public works construction. Ace Fence Co. has been in existence since 1949. America Tang purchased this company from the retiring former owner and has been the CEO since 1988. Ace Fence Company is listed on the “Top 100 Women Owned Businesses in the Los Angeles County,” since 1990.

Biography

America Tang was born in Lima, Peru. She is of Chinese descent, both of her parents came from Guangdong, China. At the age of 14, she moved with her family to Madrid, Spain where she finished her high school and started her first year at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Her family moved again in 1974 to Los Angeles, California. She finished her studies at Cal State Los Angeles, majoring in International Business.
In 1982, she established Handfore Realty in the City of Monterey Park, a Real Estate company that exists to date. In the heights of the Real Estate business, she was the Broker and Manager for over 80 Real Estate Sales Agents. In 2005, she obtained a Real Estate Broker's License in Arizona, Utah and Colorado and established New Age Realty which operates in all those three States.
In 2008, America Tang recorded her own CD of music titled: In My Life. All the original music arrangements of classic old songs from the 1960s and 1970s were re-made by famous musician and composer Marc Ellis, who worked alongside his even more famous father, Ray Ellis.
She has weekly appearances in several radio programs worldwide: Radio Miraflores FM 96.1, program of Ana Maria Lonetti, “Peru Mujer,” in Lima, Peru; Radio America AM 780, program of Wernie Vasquez, “Rescate,” in San Jose, Costa Rica and Radio Fiesta FM 87.6, program of Elizabeth Gil, “Hablemos Claro” in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The entire proceeds from the sales of her CD: “In My Life” will be used to fund her non-profit organization: Lending Hope Foundation.
Tang is the Founder and CEO of Lending Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed to help the poorest entrepreneurs of this world by giving them free business workshops and helping them with a Micro-loan to start or improve their small business. What makes Lending Hope Foundation a unique organization, is that it not only provides initial capital to start their small businesses, but prepares candidates in the wherewithal of the business world to insure that they will achieve their projected goals of financial independence.
