Americas Rugby League Championship

The Americas Rugby League Championship is an international rugby league football tournament contested by Canada, Chile, Jamaica, and the USA. The tournament was created to follow the success of the Americas region of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup qualifying.

History

Previously the only regular international competition in North America was the Colonial Cup between the USA and Canada. As part of the RLIFs policy of expansion and the introduction of a regular international calendar the America's Cup was established and included Jamaica which gave them the opportunity for regular competitive games.
