Ana Lúcia Souza
Ana Lúcia Souza is a Brazilian naturalized American artist, whose artistic path started in Germany as a ballet dancer. Souza was a soloist at the extinct Das Meininger Ballett, she later joined the world renowned Stuttgart Ballet and ended her professional ballet career after resigning her contract at Les Ballets de Monte Carlo in the Principality of Monaco.
Souza moved to New York, studied film and theater at The Lee Strasberg Institute, worked as a film and television producer and director, as well as an arts correspondent and science writer.
Her current body of work comprises poetry, neon art installations and film.
