Andrew Begley


Andrew Begley is a former long distance runner for the University of Arkansas, and is currently head coach of Atlanta Track Club's elite team alongside wife and former Olympian Amy Yoder Begley.

Running career

As an athlete, Begley qualified for the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials, placing sixteenth with a time of 29:28.79. While attending the University of Arkansas, he was part of nine NCAA championships and twelve SEC championships, earning All-America honors three times and winning the 5,000 meter indoor at the SEC indoor championships in 2000.

Coaching career

Prior to Atlanta Track Club, Begley was an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut, where he coached seven individuals to conference championships and two NCAA regional qualifiers. As a high school coach, he coached seven different runners to eighteen state championship titles in Indiana, Louisiana, and Oregon, qualifying three to the Footlocker National Cross Country Championships.
