Andrew Copp


Andrew Copp is an American professional ice hockey forward who is currently with the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League. He was selected in the fourth round, 104th overall, by the Jets in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career

As a youth, Copp played in the 2007 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Detroit Compuware minor ice hockey team.
Copp played collegiate hockey at the University of Michigan and was the Wolverines' captain in his junior year. Copp finished his college hockey career, with 81 points in 107 games, including 11 power-play goals and five shorthanded goals.
Copp opted to forgo his senior year of college hockey eligibility and signed a three-year entry-level contact with the Jets on March 26, 2015. He played his first NHL game on April 11, in which he also picked up his first career point.
During the 2019 offseason, Copp filed for salary arbitration. On July 23, 2019, he was awarded a 2-year, $4.56 million extension with the Jets.
