Andy Behrman


Andy Behrman is an American writer of non-fiction as well as a mental health advocate and national speaker. According to his memoir titled Electroboy, Andy Behrman graduated from Wesleyan University and has struggled with manic depression resulting in multiple electroshock treatments. Electroboy: A Memoir of Mania which was published by Random House in 2002, and traces his career dealing forgeries of the art of Mark Kostabi. His memoir goes in depth about how his mental illness has effected his life and what if felt like to go through nineteen electroshock therapies. Behrman was formerly a spokesman for Bristol Myers Squibb until he publicly criticized them for their marketing techniques and made a YouTube video titled, "Abilify Kills." Behrman lives with his two daughters in Los Angeles, California. He is working on a sequel to Electroboy, as well as a self-help book. He graduated from Wesleyan University.
