Andy Nicolas


Andreas Kurt Peter Koutsonikolas known professionally as Andy Nicolas is a Greek singer and songwriter. He holds dual Greek and Danish citizenship. As well as being an artist he is also one of Greece's leading songwriters, having penned numerous chart topping songs both in his native Greece and the surrounding Balkans. He has worked with artists such as Eleni Foureira, Helena Paparizou, Faydee, Claydee, Tamta, Demy, Christos Mastoras, Playmen, Vegas, Consoul Trainin, Nikos Ganos, Eleftheria Eleftheriou and more. In total his works have gathered over 100.000.000 plays on YouTube and other streaming platforms.

Early life

Andreas Kurt Peter Koutsonikolas was born on January 24, 1991 in Odense, Denmark but was raised in Rhodes, Greece. His Greek/Canadian father and Danish mother are both musicians.

Early career

From the early age of 13 he followed his parents footsteps as a professional musician and began performing on a regular basis at various hotels and local nightclubs in Rhodes. It was around this time he also discovered his love for songwriting and began writing and recording his own music.
In 2007 he partook in Greece's Got Talent and in 2008 he was a member of the group Jukebox on The X Factor.

Career

After a few years living in London he returned to Greece and began recording and releasing his own music.
His first breakthrough hit song came in 2013 when he co-wrote and featured on the track "Gravity" by Energy Deejays which remained at the top of the Greek radio charts for four weeks.
He has since gone on to have several successful releases, such as his hit single "Señorita" and his Mad Award nominated "Million To One" performed alongside Playmen, Demy and McTimm.
