Apanachee

Apanachee were a German Eurodance project created by BROS Music during 1995. The project, having a Missing Heart sound and look, is believed to be a side project of the group Missing Heart, which had formed the previous year. The project is known to have had, at least, three different vocalists, but the names of the first vocalist have never been revealed. The second vocalist is Thea Austin, the third vocalist, however, was Lydia Madajewski, during 2001.

Background

Apanachee began in 1995 with their debut single "Eagle Fly", released on March 1, 1995. It had a sound very close to Missing Heart and was noted for this. The single wasn't a chart success and no promotional videos were ever created for this single. After two years of silence, on April 18, 1998, the project released a second single called "Spirits Of Nature". The vocalist had changed, as this singer had much deeper vocals, her vocals sounded more like La Bouche or Corona, though neither of these singers were ever involved. The single, once again, wasn't a chart success, and no videos were ever made for it.
In January 2001, Apanachee was suddenly revived by BROS Music, featuring Lydia as the new vocalist. On January 29, 2001, the project released a third single, "In Aeternum", a song that had previously been released as a part of Missing Heart's "Mystery" album in 2000. In fact, it was exactly the same version as the one used on the album, but released under the name Apanachee. It is believed that BROS Music may have decided to use Apanachee's name to release some odd singles from Missing Heart. The song gained notable popularity in Europe, especially in Russia, where a remix of "In Aeternum" went to #1 in the charts, which inspired the release of another single. August 7, 2001, a fourth single was released, once again, another previously released song from "Mystery" called "Prison Of Passion", exact to the album version.
The project went inactive after 2001 and officially disbanded in 2002, following David Brandes's announcement of the demise of the Missing Heart project.
