Release

The movie received a U certificate from the Indian film censor board despite the fact that the movie had several action filled violent scenes. This was something uncommon as the Indian film censor board CBFC has strict rules regarding film censoring.
The movie was released on 4rth January 1996.
The film received positive reviews upon release and was declared a Superhit at the box office. However, the film failed to repeat the grand success of Rajendra Babu - Vishnuvardhan duo's earlier venture, Halunda Thavaru.
