Appannagouda Patil was a freedom fighter, prominent leader in the co-operative movement of Karnataka. He was also a chairman of Hira Sugar factory at Sankeshwar, Karnataka for a longer period and has contributed a lot for the economic development of Sankeshwar, Karnataka region in Belgaum district of Karnataka.Notable works
