Arcadia Brewing Company

The Arcadia Brewing Company was a brewery in Kalamazoo, MI, U.S. The pub first opened in 1996 in Battle Creek, and its products were distributed in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and in craft beer clubs in Washington and Canada. It was created under the leadership and guidance of entrepreneur Tim Suprise along with several other shareholders. TC's Wood-Fired Fare was the accompanying restaurant that was founded alongside the microbrewery.
All beers were produced on the brewery's 25 bbl Peter Austin brewhouse, and open-fermented in the brewery's cellar, using a traditional English Ale yeast.
In spring 2014, Arcadia completed a new building in Kalamazoo, Michigan — a 30,000 square foot building, capable of producing 21,000 barrels annually. The Battle Creek facility closed in 2016. The company ceased operations in September 2019, following a default on its mortgage.
It made seven beers including an American IPA made with mango, Hopmouth, double IPA and Mango Suprise. It produced three Porter style beers: Porter Rico American porter and bourbon-barrel-aged Shipwreck Porter. It distributed to eight states, including Michigan, plus Washington, D.C. Kalamazoo's Bell's Brewery and Grand-Rapids-based Founders Brewing Company brew much more beer than Arcadia, but state tax data ranked it as "one of Michigan's 25 largest craft breweries."
