Arianna Dagnino


Arianna Dagnino is an Italian/naturalized Canadian & Australian writer, translator and researcher currently based in Vancouver, Canada.
Dagnino is the author of the transcultural novel The Afrikaner, an odyssey that blends history, politics, scientific research and adventure in a plot set between Johannesburg, Cape Town, the Kalahari Desert and Zanzibar. The author of several books on the impact of global mobility, scientific research and digital technologies, she currently teaches in the Department of French, Hispanic and Italian Studies at the University of British Columbia.
Dagnino holds a PhD in Sociology and Comparative Literature from the University of South Australia and a Master's degree in Modern Languages and Literatures from the Università degli Studi di Genova, Italy.
