Artrage (Western Australia)
Artrage is a not-for-profit charitable organisation with a mission to enrich the cultural fabric of Perth, Western Australia. The organisation is recognised as one of the largest and most successful arts organisations in Western Australia.
Artrage is Western Australia's longest running not-for-profit arts organisation established in 1983. Originating as an alternative to the Perth International Arts Festival, Artrage has evolved into a key production company supporting contemporary culture in Western Australia. Since its inception, Artrage has presented tens of thousands of artists and performers to audiences of hundreds of thousands through various artistic endeavours.
Artrage produces the annual multi-arts fringe festival Fringe World and Rooftop Movies.The Bakery is a live performance venue, exhibition space and music venue in Northbridge, Western Australia. Artists who have performed at The Bakery include Jamie XX, Damo Suzuki, SBTRKT and Tame Impala.
After operating for 13 years Artrage announced in 2015 that the venue would close permanently on 9 May 2015.
