Asia Pacific Transport Consortium
Asia Pacific Transport Consortium is a project company operated by a group of construction companies. In June 1999, the AustralAsia Rail Corporation was awarded the contract to build and operate the Adelaide-Darwin railway line. It operates as a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer project with ownership to pass to the Government of Australia in 2054.

The Asia Pacific Transport Consortium contracted FreightLink to implement the project and to operate the railway. The APTC leases some assets on the Alice Springs to Darwin section from the AARC, and subleases of the Alice Springs to Tarcoola railway from the Government of Australia through the AARC.
